This is the second successful felting project I’ve had and it turned out pretty well. I made this using a pattern called “The Tube Bag” from the book Uncommon Crochet by Julie Armstrong Holetz.
This is the bag before felting. I ended up running it through the washer twice because the yarn I used didn’t want [...]

This was completely free-handed. The stitch I used throughout is half-double crochet, chain one, half-double crochet. I always worked into the chain space, not into the actual stitches. Basically, I crocheted a rectangle, which I then folded in half and sewed into sleeves (just like the Lovers Knot Shrug.) This stitch and yarn combo wasn’t [...]

I had some leftover black yarn from a shawl/wrap thing I tried to make last year and quit working on. (It was just taking way too much concentration and I didn’t have the time.) Anyways, for Halloween, I decided to make a kitty hat. I know they’re pretty ubiquitous, but I’ve never made one before, [...]

I made this shrug a couple of years ago for my sister. It’s a great pattern – it works up beautifully in a very short amount of time. Also, you can use just about any yarn and hook size you want. I believe I used a size K hook. The yarn is Plymouth Galway Highland [...]

This is my version of the Kitty Pi Bed. Mine is crocheted because I don’t know how to knit, and I made it in stripes using some wool lopi yarn and a really big hook. It was my first experience felting something in the washing machine and, I have to admit, it was pretty frustrating. [...]

I made this top from the “Glittering Gold” pattern in 24-Hour Crochet Projects, pattern written by Sandy Scoville.
I was kind of excited about this because, besides hats which don’t really count, it was my first real “wearable.” I’m *pretty* sure I made the small size, but this was completed awhile ago so I don’t quite [...]

My sister really likes to go to the Rennaisance Festival. This year, she’s planning on dressing up and needed something to do with her hair. She wanted a knitted snood originally, since she knits. The pattern she loved on ravelry was crocheted, though, so she asked me to make it.
The pattern uses yarn and thread [...]

Here are a couple of baby hats I’ve made for my niece. I love making baby hats because they’re so small that they work up quickly. They’re also usually really cute!
The first hat is a little one with bear ears. I think this turned out wonderfully! It’s much too big for a newborn, but will [...]

I realized that the picture of the baby jacket from my last post is a little difficult to see. I’m not the best photographer, but I’ve taken a few more pictures and gotten a pretty good one. It’s clearer, a little larger, and it isn’t coming at the jecket from a strange angle. This lets [...]

So a friend of mine was having a baby awhile ago and I made all these things to send to her. Then I never sent them and now the baby is much too big. A family member of mine is about to have a little girl, but I don’t think these are her style. I’ll [...]
